Committee Structure Overview

Chairperson: The Chapter Vice President

Composition

  • Minimum of five (5) members
  • Maximum of seven (7) members
  • Must be current Active Members
  • Must be in good standing

Geographic Representation

  • Minimum of one (1) member from DFW Area
  • Minimum of one (1) member from Houston Area
  • Minimum of one (1) member from Austin / San Antonio
  • Minimum of one (1) member from West / South / East Texas
Committee Service Tenure: This committee shall serve a designated two (2) year term.

Duties & Core Responsibilities

The Mentor Committee is charged with facilitating professional growth and networking within the chapter by executing the following operational directives:

  • Program Promotion: Actively champion, publicize, and advocate for the Mu Omicron mentor program throughout the state.
  • Pairing Logistics: Identify eligible program participants, process applications, and strategically pair compatible mentors with mentees.
  • Process Evaluation: Systematically evaluate the mentorship tracking process and implement necessary procedural adjustments to optimize outcomes.
