Our Story

Mu Omicron recognizes the profound educational, cultural, and personal contributions of orchestral music, and remain dedicated to advancing pedagogical excellence and orchestral instruction. Our mission centers on four pillars: advocating for the orchestral profession, providing forums for the growth and certification of orchestra directors, honoring exemplary leadership and artistic excellence, and facilitating the sharing of resources to ensure the vitality of our membership. We encourage ALL to sign up for Mu Omicron's mentor program, a valuable opportunity to connect, grow, and strengthen our profession together. Additionally, we invite everyone to apply for a FREE clinic at any point throughout the year. We also extend our sincere gratitude to TODA for an outstanding convention and their continued partnership in support of our shared mission.
